About Third Space…

At Third Space Psychotherapy, I specialize in holding the tender space between who you were and who you’re becoming. Rooted in perinatal and maternal mental health and guided by an anti-oppressive framework, this practice exists to support individuals through the identity shifts that come with birth, loss, parenting, and personal transformation.

The “third space” is a term borrowed from relational and cultural theory — it represents the in-between, the undefined, the place beyond either/or. For many, the journey through parenthood, grief, or healing doesn’t fit into tidy narratives. Here, we make space for that complexity. You don’t have to choose between past and future selves. This is a place to pause, reflect, and rebuild — in your own language, at your own pace.

Whether you're navigating postpartum identity, pregnancy loss, intergenerational patterns, or simply trying to stay whole in a world that asks you to split yourself apart, you're welcome here. Our work centers liberation, softness, and the radical act of becoming more fully yourself.

A space between who you were

and who you're becoming.

About Me

I'm a psychotherapist specializing in perinatal mental health — supporting individuals through the profound identity shifts that accompany conception, pregnancy, birth, loss, and the becoming of parenthood.

At the same time, my work extends beyond the perinatal realm. I work with individuals healing from emotionally immature caregivers, toxic family systems, and intimate partner violence. I hold space for survivors reclaiming a sense of safety, worth, and voice — often for the first time.

As a certified drug and alcohol counselor, I also support those in recovery — people in the process of reconnecting with themselves and rebuilding life after substance use. Whether you’re sorting through patterns rooted in survival or reshaping your identity after rupture or loss, I’m here to walk alongside you with compassion, curiosity, and care.

My practice affirms and centers those who hold marginalized identities, including queer, trans, and BIPOC clients. You don’t have to shrink, explain away, or compartmentalize any part of yourself to belong here. This is a space to show up as you are — tender, tangled, healing, whole.

On a Personal Note…

Outside of my work, I’m a partner and a mother to two young daughters. I find peace in quiet moments—watching birds, walking through green spaces, enjoying a cup of coffee or creating something with my hands through photography or painting. [All of the photography on this site is mine, taken during hikes, bird watching, and moments that made me pause.]

I earned my MSW from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 2020 and moved to Oregon during the early days of the pandemic. I hold progressive values and care deeply about raising my daughters in a world that reflects their inherent worth, dignity, and strength.

My Clinical Approach

I believe therapy is most effective when it’s collaborative and personalized. I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches—including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Narrative Therapy, and Schema Therapy—to support your individual goals and needs.

Each person’s experience is unique, and I strive to adapt our work in a way that feels most helpful and meaningful to you. I value your feedback and see our work as a partnership—one where we can explore challenges, build insight, and strengthen your capacity for lasting change.
